Computer as Main Type of Multimedia

   Nowadays multimedia has captivated people. Disadvantages are present surely but computers are almost in every house. Usually children and young people use computer not for education, but for entertaining: playing games, watching films, hanging in facebook and so on. Adults mostly use it at work for education and business. As for me, computer is a main thing in my house. It is a way of entertaining, studying and working too for me. My hobby is studying foreign languages. Now I take a great interest in French language. My plan is visit French speaking country and it is not France. My dream is Canada, more specifically Quebec. It is the only French speaking province in Canada. I do my best that to learn this beautiful language. For education I, of course, use my computer. I have some teach – yourself French textbook, listen CD and watch films in French, it is funny, but during watching a film people’s speech is so quickly that I don’t understand almost everything, so I can hear only couple familiar words, but I try.
   Recently my friend gave me the advice. On some site make the acquaintance of French speaking man, it doesn’t matter boy it will be or girl and just speak French with him or her. I thought it would be a great practice. So, I bought a webcam and started. Disadvantages that I met were as follows: it was very difficult to find a man only for talking. Boys wanted something another and girls, I don’t know why, refused to practice French with me. But finally I found rather good boy who agreed just to be friends and speak French with me. We communicate already three weeks. His name is David. He is from France. And he is so funny. By the way he knows English very well, but I try to speak only French with him. We speak about everything: family, friends, movies, music and even sport, we both like football. For this time I practiced my French very good. He helped me very much. Of course my French is not perfect yet, but I will develop my knowledge of French language.
   Multimedia is a big advantage of our time. It gives to people chances to develop, study and as a result to receive a good education. It makes some things easier. It is difficult pretend how people lived before without computers and others multimedia. Because every sphere of our life one way or another have concerning with multimedia. But everything has their disadvantages.
